About MiniSplitDecoder
MiniSplitDecoder is a troubleshooting reference for people whose equipment is showing them a code instead of working. We cover Bosch, Carrier, Daikin, Fujitsu, Gree, Hayward, Jandy, Lennox, LG, Midea, MRCOOL, Pentair, Philips, Pioneer, Raypak, ResMed, Samsung, Senville, Trane — and we are expanding into pool heaters and CPAP machines.
How every page is built
- Verified against manufacturer documentation. Every code meaning is checked against official service manuals and manufacturer support pages, with the source and verification date cited at the bottom of each page. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking one silently.
- Causes ranked by real-world frequency, with clear markers for what you can safely check yourself and what is technician-only.
- An explicit safety boundary. Each page tells you exactly where DIY ends — because opening the wrong panel on a mini split or pool heater can hurt you or destroy the equipment.
Why trust this over a forum thread?
Forums are great for stories and terrible for diagnosis. Every claim here traces to a cited source; every page shows its verification date; and when manufacturers change code meanings between series, we document the variants rather than averaging them into something wrong.
Affiliate disclosure
Some pages contain affiliate links to parts and equipment relevant to the specific fix — currently HVACDirect.com and Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through those links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence the troubleshooting content: the diagnosis, causes, and safety boundaries are written from manufacturer service manuals and are independent of any commercial relationship.
