What C500 means

C500 is generation-dependent on Samsung RAC mini splits. Official Samsung service documentation maps C500 to Heat sink over temperature error - the inverter heatsink exceeded its temperature limit; SplitAtlas, presenting the current R-32 residential mapping, reads C500 as a Condenser temperature (CON-TH) sensor error. Both stop the outdoor unit; the heatsink reading is thermal (airflow/fan), the CON-TH reading is a sensor fault.
